Dr. Mohamed Sayed Ibrahim, President of Assiut National University, emphasized that the role of a university is no longer limited to providing academic knowledge. Instead, it now extends to preparing individuals capable of critical thinking and analysis, addressing challenges, devising innovative solutions, and transforming what they learn in the classroom into tangible value that contributes to society. From this perspective, Assiut National University believes that the student is the core and ultimate purpose of the educational process. Our mission is not fulfilled merely by graduating students with university degrees; rather, it lies in preparing graduates equipped with knowledge, skills, and self-confidence—individuals capable of competing in the labor market and contributing to sustainable development. The "Creativity: Your Path to Success" initiative, organized by the (Alam Rakamy) newspaper across various universities, reflects the university’s commitment to fostering student creativity and innovation. It provides students with opportunities to acquire modern technological skills, helping to develop a generation capable of keeping pace with digital transformation and actively participating in shaping the future.
For his part, journalist Khaled Hassan, Editor-in-Chief of “Alam Rakamy “, emphasized that university walls are no longer mere geographical boundaries separating lecture halls from the outside world. Instead, they have recently evolved into "operations centers" where the contours of the future are shaped and the identities of societies are redefined. The true measure of an academic institution’s success no longer lies in the number of degrees it awards each year, but rather in the scale of its developmental impact and the innovative solutions it offers to its surrounding economic and social environment.
He added that in an era defined by technology and driven by knowledge, universities now serve as the solid core around which digital transformation, scientific research, innovation, and an entrepreneurial culture revolve. The role of a professor is no longer just an academic rank; it has become a form of intellectual leadership—managing business incubators and transforming patents—once confined to desk drawers—into tangible projects. Massive productivity drives the engine of sustainable development.
This was highlighted during the launch of the 20th edition of the "Creativity... Your Path to Success" initiative, organized by the (Alam Rakamy) newspaper across various universities. The event was hosted by Assiut National University (ASNU) in collaboration with the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC)—part of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. The initiative was held under the patronage of Dr. Mohamed Sayed Ibrahim, President of Assiut National University, with the participation of Ayman Mohamed Ayad, Director of the Information Technology Institute (ITI) in Assiut; Faten Salah El-Din El-Khouly, Director of the "Creativity... Your Path to Success" initiative; and Ahmed Sokrat, an Innovation Ambassador at TIEC.
