Shri J.P. Nadda, Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare and Union Minister of Chemicals & Fertilizers, undertook a significant three-day visit to Egypt to represent India at the Global Conference on Health, Population & Human Development in Cairo.
During his visit, Shri Nadda held a high-level meeting with His Excellency Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, where both sides explored deepening bilateral cooperation, especially in the health and pharmaceutical sectors.
As part of his engagements with the Indian diaspora, Shri Nadda participated in an event organised by the Embassy of India in Egypt, welcomed by His Excellency Mr. Suresh K. Reddy, Ambassador of India to Egypt, along with Mr. Ashish Walia (Chairman, Indian Community Association in Egypt – ICAE) and Mr. Amar Das (Board Member, ICAE). The Minister was received at India House, Cairo.
The gathering opened with a warm address by Mrs. Sadhna Parmar, President of ICAE, who provided a brief overview of the community activities and the significance of the Minister’s visit.
In his address to the Indian community, Shri J.P. Nadda expressed his satisfaction with the trip and appreciated the efforts made by the Embassy of India and Ambassador Suresh K. Reddy in ensuring the success of his engagements. He emphasised the immense potential for collaboration between India and Egypt, particularly in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and human development — pointing to his own ministerial portfolios as natural bridges for partnership.
