F5 has appointed Mohammed Al Tamimi as Senior Director, Field Sales Management for the Gulf region.
Al Tamimi will strengthen the local team as it continues to help organizations deliver and secure every application and API, wherever they run.
Throughout his 20-plus-year career, Al Tamimi has built high-performing teams, established sustainable partner ecosystems, and successfully scaled businesses across the Middle East, Türkiye and Africa (META). He is widely recognized for his integrity and commitment to employee development, customer success, and partner collaboration.
“It is a pleasure to welcome Mohammed to the F5 team at such a pivotal time for our business,” said Mohammed AbuKhater, Vice President and Managing Director of F5 Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa. “Hybrid multicloud complexity is increasing, AI inference is transforming application architectures and traffic patterns, and the threat landscape is expanding rapidly. Mohammed’s experience will be a significant benefit to F5 and our customers.”
Recent portfolio developments driving impact in the region include the F5 AI Security Platform, which gives organizations continuous visibility, governance, and protection across enterprise AI applications, models, agents, and the APIs connecting them. Through a continuous, adaptive loop approach to governing, discovering, testing, and protecting enterprise AI workloads, the platform extends F5’s Application Delivery and Security Platform (ADSP) strategy to enterprise AI.
Al Tamimi previously served as Regional Sales Leader for Akamai’s Enterprise Security Group in META, where he established and grew the regional operation from the ground up. Prior to this, he spent six years at Rubrik as Regional Director for META, joining as the first employee in the region and playing an instrumental role in scaling the business, team, and channel presence. Earlier in his career, he held key leadership positions at Palo Alto Networks and worked at Commvault, Dell, HP, and Microsoft.
“F5 is uniquely positioned at the intersection of the market forces reshaping modern enterprise infrastructure: hybrid multicloud, AI inference, and the evolving threat landscape,” said Al Tamimi.
“I look forward to helping organizations thrive in this dynamic environment, where it is more important than ever to keep apps and APIs fast, available, and secure wherever they run.”
