The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) participated in Egypt Business Forum 2026, held on September 28 in Paris, France. The forum was organized by the French Senate in partnership with Business France to strengthen economic and commercial exchanges and partnerships between Egypt and France.

The forum aimed to introduce French companies to investment opportunities in the Egyptian economy, given Egypt's central role in France's Africa strategy. Nearly 250 business leaders attended the event, representing both major French groups and small and medium-sized enterprises.

MCIT took part in a panel discussion titled "AI, Cloud, and Data Centers: Egypt Accelerates Its Digital Transformation amid Emerging Cybersecurity Challenges." The session examined how the rapid rise of AI is reshaping infrastructure needs across cloud, connectivity, and data centers, and how Egypt is positioning itself as a regional digital hub for technology investment and innovation.

Discussion topics included AI adoption, building infrastructure for the AI era, responsible AI, cybersecurity and digital sovereignty, and the investment and market opportunities that follow.

The session gave French business leaders a view of Egypt's digital transformation and the opportunities in its digital infrastructure, as part of the forum's wider effort to open the way for stronger economic and commercial ties between Egypt and France.
