In its commitment to developing and enhancing the competitiveness of information technology companies, the Chamber of Information and Communications Technology (CIT), the sponsor of the digital industry in Egypt, has launched a series of weekly online seminars highlighting the future of artificial intelligence technologies. These seminars focus on examining the profound impacts of this technological revolution on companies and evolving business models in the coming years.

These virtual seminars aim to help technology companies and startups keep pace with rapid transformations and provide entrepreneurs with the strategic insights needed to develop their operations and address market challenges.

The Capacity Building Committee, comprised of Eng. Tarek Malash, Eng. Khaled Morsi, and Dr. Mohamed Khalif, members of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Information and Communications Technology (CIT), confirmed that:

This series was launched in response to the growing interest of Chamber members and companies in the sector to understand the radical transformations the world is witnessing as a result of the rapid advancement in artificial intelligence technologies, not only from a technical perspective, but also from a strategic, commercial, and developmental perspective.

The opening session of the seminar series featured Dr. Ashraf Abdel Wahab in a rich discussion about the future of artificial intelligence (AI) and its profound impact on technology companies and business models in the coming years. The session addressed several key messages, the first being that AI has become a structural transformation, helping organizations redesign their products, services, and business models to maximize its capabilities.

The second seminar discussed how technology companies are leveraging advanced AI tools to manage their marketing campaigns and promote their technological solutions, revolutionizing customer acquisition and market analysis. AI is no longer merely a supporting tool; it has become the cornerstone upon which marketing departments rely to ensure that software solutions and cloud services reach their target audience with maximum accuracy and at the lowest cost, demonstrating the practical effectiveness of their solutions to the customer.

Dr. Khalif emphasized that this seminar series aims to help companies in the sector understand global and local AI trends, explore new business opportunities, learn about international best practices and experiences, build institutional and individual capabilities, and prepare for upcoming transformations in the labor and technology markets. He added that during upcoming sessions, they will discuss more specialized topics including artificial intelligence strategies, agent AI, organizational transformation, new business models, governance, digital sovereignty, and practical applications across various economic sectors.

Among the most prominent recommendations of the seminars are the urgent need to begin building AI-related capabilities and skills within companies, reassessing existing product and service portfolios and identifying what can be developed or redesigned to become smarter and more valuable to customers, investing in data and its quality as one of the most important strategic assets for organizations in the age of AI, focusing on building intellectual property (IP) and specialized solutions instead of relying solely on traditional business models, and strengthening partnerships between the private sector, universities, research centers, and government entities to accelerate the development of a competitive national AI ecosystem.

It is worth mentioning that prior to these seminars, the Chamber’s Capacity Building Committee conducted a survey of the participants to understand their priorities and interests. The results showed great interest in topics such as: AI strategies and building an institutional roadmap, automating processes and improving productivity, developing AI-supported products and services, marketing, sales and customer experience, the impact of AI on jobs and skills required in the future, and new opportunities for IT companies in local and regional markets.
