The World’s No. 1 DLP projector brand, BenQ, unveiled their latest smart projectors for classrooms, EX800ST and EW800ST- the first ever android based education projectors to feature cloud account integration, smart app capability, internet and wireless connectivity. They have been designed to promote diversified teaching and blended learning in K-12 classrooms. Providing long-lasting uninterrupted instruction with Dust Guard technology, the short-throw projectors offer futureproof PC-less academic solutions for student interaction, collaboration, and next-generation teaching styles.

“Education is now moving towards becoming more student-centric where the focus is not on the teacher and students are encouraged to collaborate and arrive at solutions on their own. EX800ST is an excellent tool for educators as it enables them to foster a progressive school climate. It empowers them with flexible and innovative teaching methods that significantly enhance student interaction and collaboration.” said Manish Bakshi, MD, BenQ ME.

Advancing technology in not just education but across all spheres is challenging the traditional ways education systems function – finding or accessing information about a subject matter is not a challenge anymore, so teaching has to be a lot more than just imparting that. Technology has dramatically increased the access to education world over, and schools are striving towards making the much necessary changes in the learning process by meaningful technological integration into their curriculum to increase the learning opportunities for teachers and children.

EX800ST brings with it a whole new way of classroom teaching as by offering personal account control and cloud services integration via BenQ Account Management System (AMS), which allows teachers individualized access to lesson plans and educational materials in cloud storage. Exclusive to BenQ, the AMS software lets teachers manage their materials for both online and face-to-face classes in one place. This considerably simplifies their workflow and saves precious time that they can invest more productively.

The E800ST also comes with a centralized messaging and display scheduling system, X-Sign Broadcast. The BenQ exclusive X-Sign Broadcast is the wireless system that gets essential announcements and messages across the school, floor, or even individual classrooms without disrupting class. The school administration and staff can pre-schedule messages as well as send immediate announcements if required.

BenQ’s latest ed-tech projector, EX800ST’s user interface is optimized for education and interaction and provides intuitive content navigation in addition to the traditional projector remote control. Featuring intuitive human interface device (HID) support, EX800ST lets students and teachers navigate educational content with a mouse or keyboard, even allowing projector control and operation from a smartphone via BenQ Smart Control app.
