Dubai Department of Finance delegation visits Moro Hub

    HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) welcomed a high-profile delegation headed by HE Abdulrahman Saleh Al Saleh, Director General of the Government of Dubai's Department of Finance (DOF) to Data Hub Integrated Solutions - Moro Hub, a wholly-owned subsidiary of DEWA. This is part of Moro Hub’s efforts to support the UAE’s directives to promote digital transformation across all economic and service sectors. The meeting aimed to enhance cooperation between the two sides and review Moro’s innovative digital solutions.

    With its forward-thinking focus, Moro Hub fosters an ecosystem for innovation and future-proofed business models, driven by advanced tech solutions, including computing, networking, databases, analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Each of these advanced solutions have been designed to help government and enterprise customers augment their digital transformation journeys effectively and efficiently.

    From DOF’s side, the meeting was also attended by Jamal Hamed Al Marri, Executive Director of Central Accounts Sector; and Huda Hamdan Al Shaikh, Executive Director- Corporate Services Sector at the Dubai Department of Finance.

    From Moro’s side, Marwan Bin Haidar, Vice Chairman ; Matar Al Mehairi, Board Member;  Mohammad Bin Sulaiman, CEO; Dr. Ahmed Al Ketbi, Chief Information Security Officer of DEWA and Moro;  and  Rashid Al Ahmedi, Chief Operating Officer at InfraX were also present.

    “At Moro Hub, we are committed to the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to enhance the position of the UAE as a global hub in digital technologies. This is done by employing Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies such as AI, Blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT) as well as developing the technological infrastructure and providing the latest data centres and advanced solutions,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer.

    “Dubai has established its leading position in anticipating the future. It is at the forefront of cities that anticipate and shape the future through government plans and strategies. These include the UAE Centennial 2071 that aims to make the UAE the world’s leading nation, and the Dubai 10X initiative, which mandates the Government of Dubai to be a global leader that is 10 years ahead of all other cities. We are confident that new-age solutions offered by Moro Hub will enhance government operations in Dubai and achieve positive results for those that use them,” added Al Tayer.

    During the visit, HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer briefed the Department of Finance delegation on Moro Hub’s key services, which include cloud, digital, cybersecurity, and data management services, as well as the services offered by the Smart Cities Command and Control Centre.

    “Since its launch, Moro Hub’s Smart Cities Command and Control Centre has become the cornerstone of advanced, cutting-edge digital solutions. It is a key enabler for the 10X initiative as it offers a variety of services including the smart platforms for solutions like IoT, cyber security and managed services to support government and private organisations in their digital transformation,” added Al Tayer.

    HE Abdulrahman Saleh Al Saleh, commended Moro Hub for its strategic efforts to strengthen the digital landscape of the UAE. He also praised the company for being a pioneer in adopting cutting-edge digital solutions that contribute to providing services to customers, taking into consideration the global orientations of different economic and business sectors.

    “Moro Hub will transform the UAE’s digital landscape. It will not only serve as a backbone for innovative tech solutions, but also support the UAE’s journey to sustainable economic development.
