Whith150 factories, in cooperation with investors from 10th of Ramadan, IMC, and ITIDA: 19 companies from the CIT Chamber showcase their technological solutions to build a more competitive industry and support its export capabilities.

    Continuing its strategy to develop local demand for technological solutions and support the digital transformation of businesses to increase their competitiveness, the Chamber of Information and Communications Technology (CIT), the sponsor of the digital industry in Egypt, organized the second event of the "Towards a Digital Future" forum, aimed at developing the industrial sector. The event was attended by decision-makers from approximately 150 factories, both at the Investors Association in 10th of Ramadan City and the Industrial Modernization Center (IMC), with the participation of 19 technology companies. This initiative aligns with the goals of supporting innovation and developing local demand by promoting the use of innovative technological solutions in Egyptian industrial institutions, thereby contributing to enhancing their competitiveness and improving the efficiency of their operational processes.

    The forum witnessed a wide attendance from factory board chairmen, aiming to build bridges of communication to enhance cooperation opportunities between the technology sector and various industrial sectors. This included presentations from companies on factory digitization through practical solutions for automating production and administrative processes, as well as networking opportunities with exhibiting companies. The forum also provided a platform for factory decision-makers to meet with technology companies to exchange experiences and learn about specialized solutions.

    The second edition of the forum comes within the framework of the Chamber's integrated strategy to connect local technology companies with industrial companies and institutions, support the state's ambitious plans for comprehensive digital transformation, enhance the growth of the digital economy, and integrate the communications and technology sector with all productive sectors to achieve sustainable development goals. This is being done in cooperation with a number of strategic partners, most notably ITIDA, the Industrial Modernization Center of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, the Investors Association in 10th of Ramadan City, the Badr Investors Association, the Egyptian-Lebanese Businessmen Association, and the Egyptian Exporters Association, to ensure that the actual needs of factories are met with the latest digital solutions available from Egyptian technology companies.     For his part, Eng. Khaled Ibrahim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Information and Communications Technology (CIT), affirmed, "We look forward to presenting a comprehensive set of innovative solutions to help industrial institutions increase productivity, expand their business volume, and enhance their competitiveness both locally and globally. We also aim to build sustainable partnerships that enable Egyptian industrial institutions to raise the quality of local products to meet global export standards by leveraging the technologies and applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, especially since we are all under one umbrella: the Federation of Egyptian Industries."

    He added, "The continuation of this forum..." The Chamber's commitment to its role as a key driver of factory digitization and enhancing their local and international competitiveness is reflected in our plans to organize this forum periodically, according to the needs of each specific industrial sector or industrial city, in cooperation with our strategic partners. Our aim is to create a smarter and more efficient production environment based on the latest technologies.

    For his part, Eng. Mahmoud Safrata, Executive Vice President of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), affiliated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, stated that organizing this forum comes at a very important time from two key perspectives. First, the technology sector is one of the largest drivers of economic growth in general, with an annual growth rate of 16%, not to mention its role in maximizing the utilization of human resources and creating new jobs. Second, the technology sector has the potential to contribute significantly to developing Egyptian exports and reaching $100 billion in exports, according to the vision of the Prime Minister. This requires increasing the competitiveness of all Egyptian industrial institutions to improve their products and increase production efficiency by adopting the latest technological solutions.

    He added, "As a strategic partner with the CIT Chamber, we look forward to..." Expanding and repeating such forums, and extending their reach to all governorates and sectors, will contribute significantly to doubling and improving the productivity of our industrial institutions by maximizing the utilization of technological solutions offered by our member technology companies in the CIT Chamber – a key driver of development.

    On the other hand, Engineer Tawfiq Abdel Wahed, a member of the Board of Directors of the 10th of Ramadan Investors Association, stated that the world is now strongly moving towards the digital economy, and data and information technology have become the primary drivers of growth, investment, and competitiveness. Furthermore, a country's success now depends on its ability to employ technology, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and data analytics to improve the business environment, build a more efficient and sustainable economy, and rely on innovation to automate all processes, reduce production costs, minimize waste, and improve the efficiency of the production process.

    He added, "The 'smart factory' has become a reality, relying on a comprehensive shift in employing the latest technologies in managing industrial institutions, starting with AI, data analytics, robotics, and intelligent operating systems, in addition to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. This allows factories to monitor production lines in real time and predict malfunctions to significantly reduce waste and operating costs.
