Showcasing the best of Egypt's design talents, Cairo Design Week (CDW) celebrated its second edition with its closing ceremony; the prestigious Cairo Design Awards at Saladin Citadel marking the sixth edition of the award. The event was made possible under the auspices of The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian Tourism Authority (ETA). The week took place across three different districts, including Saladin Citadel, Heliopolis district, and Downtown, in addition to Zamalek and Maadi pockets.

Cairo Design Awards ceremony honored 22 winners and 27 honorable mentions this year across various design categories, with the attendance of jury members and design society representatives. Speakers at the event included Eng. Hisham Mahdy, founder and president of CDW and the Cairo Design Awards, Dr. Ebtissam Farid, CDA president, and H.E. Michele Quaroni, Ambassador of Italy in Cairo, Eng. Mohamed Khaled El Assal, CEO & Managing Director of Misr Italia Properties, and Mohamed Amin El-Hout, Executive Director GLC.

The Cairo Design Awards were divided into 5 different categories including Architecture and Landscape, Interior Architecture and Design, Visual Communication Design, Fashion and Jewelry, and Product Design.
