    Autodesk to sponsor ¨SUMOBOTS¨ in CIC for better Youth Technical Skills to Enter "Digitization Era"

     

    In a leading step aimed at building a new generation of qualified young individuals who are trained on the latest modern technologies of all areas and fields; Autodesk, the global leader in the engineering software industry and the production of 3D design programs and interior designs, has sponsored, through its main partner "Kemet Company," SUMOBOTS Competition, in corporation with BIG HERO and CIC who hosted the events of the closing ceremonies of the competition and the awarding of prizes.      

    The competition aims to develop the technical skills of young individuals of all ages and encourage them to unleash ideas and innovations that will be a real nucleus for important future projects. This step continues Autodesk's leading role and strategy in supporting social responsibility projects, which establish young individuals' innovation and entrepreneurship system, enabling them to build a better future and encouraging them to continue providing more creative ideas that support the community.

    Commenting on the sponsorship of the competition, Hazem Nabil, Regional Director of Autodesk- Egypt, and Libya, said: “We attach great importance to investing in youth through our main partner, and the competition is a great opportunity to develop the skills of our students and prepare them to enter the era of digitization.

    The competition allows our students to gain expertise in various information and communications technology fields and inform them of the latest innovative technologies and modern trends under the supervision of a world-leading company in the information and communications technology sector, such as Autodesk.

     

     

     

    The competition is considered a continuation of its leading role and its strategy in supporting social responsibility projects through its key partner, which develops the innovation and entrepreneurship system among young people to enable them to build a better future and encourage them to continue to provide more creative ideas that support society.

    Omar Madkour, CEO of Kemet, said, “Through our participation in many technology Expos, we noticed a passion by young children to get knowledge of programming and make models of different technological ideas, which ignited our motivation to help young children and youth alike and to play our role in supporting them in many trends.”

    That is why Autodesk, in cooperation with its strategic partner Kemet, launched a strategy to contribute to the training and qualification of human cadres, and here the idea of ​​sponsoring the SUMOBOTS competition in its Egyptian version was born.

    SUMOBOTS is known globally and started in China, and the winning students in the Egyptian version have the right to join the final qualifiers for the competition in China.

    The competition attracted a large number of participating students, amounting to 200 students from different levels of primary, preparatory, secondary school and university students. The winners were announced during a ceremony held at the Canadian University, and Kemet Company distributed material and in-kind prizes.

    Ahmed Kotb, Business Development Manager at Autodesk, stated that the competition's goal is to create a new generation ready to keep pace with any technological developments. Using the best tools that Autodesk helped in the provision of them to support everyone in learning everything modern in the field of "technology" and "software, the availability of competitiveness that stimulates the creation of innovative new designs exists.

    Kotb explained that the students used different applications and tools such as Fusion 360 of Autodesk, which trained them in dealing and mastering it to compete among themselves, and try to win and monitor the result.

    Sponsoring such competitions is one of the essential steps for building a digital Egypt, which will only take place by making the Egyptian person digitally through many programs to develop and build digital capabilities and initiatives to support digital inclusion for citizens of different groups.
