A New Initiative by Fawry, Orange and Awlad Ragab to support thousands of affected labor by providing their families with foodstuffs in preparation for Ramadan.

    As to activate the digital services system, Fawry and Orange Egypt is leading a new initiative to support the affected labor and their families from the recent circumstances, by which they will access to thousands of daily paid workers and their families through an integrated digital system to provide cash and in-kind support to them in the highest and most efficient way possible, this in cooperation with Awlad Ragab branches that are spread throughout Egypt.

    "Orange Egypt" sent text messages to thousands of the daily paid workers including a specific code that is considered a voucher to be provided by the worker at the nearest branch of "Awlad Ragab" through machines and Fawry technology in order to receive a box containing essential foodstuffs for Ramadan in an easy and safe way.

    The new initiative comes within the framework of celebrating the holy month of Ramadan, in a step to put a smile on the faces of these families and in support of the state’s efforts in providing all aspects of care and support to this affected category from the Corona virus, which affects their daily income directly.

    Commenting on the new initiative, Hala Abd ElWadoud, Head of Public Relations & Corporate Social Responsibility at Orange Egypt, said: “The humanitarian campaigns that we initiated to contribute to limiting the effects of the epidemic Corona virus outbreak, consider a top priority for the company at this stage in order to protect all affected people.

    She also emphasized that Orange used to adhere to its responsibility towards Egyptian society and supporting the Egyptian state, especially during crises, and always did its best to determine the best way for helping the needy." Mostafa Ragab, CEO of Awlad Ragab, stressed on the fact that we are all facing a responsibility to provide all forms of help to the affected Egyptian families, we have a societal role in cooperating with the Egyptian government to stand together during these circumstances.

    Accordingly, we decided to participate in Fawry and Orange new initiative.

    For his part, Ahmed Nader, Commercial Director of Fawry, said: The cooperation between Fawry and Orange using Fawry technology in specifying the affected labor from the recent circumstances and providing them with essential foodstuffs in an easy and safe way avoiding overcrowding, in cooperation with Awlad Ragab through an integrated digital system, is considered an investment of the three companies capabilities in using technology to support these families.
