inDrive, the global mobility and delivery platform, is launching a new community impact initiative designed to create tangible opportunities for the people and families at the heart of its platform. The initiative marks a new chapter in inDrive’s commitment to giving back to the communities it serves, with drivers and their families at its center. Its first major program will expand access to artificial intelligence (AI) and technology education for 1,000 children of inDrive drivers across Egypt, in partnership with Misr El Kheir Foundation (MEK) and Tech Valley educational partner of Google.
Through this collaboration, inDrive, Misr El Kheir Foundation, and Tech Valley aim to create more opportunities for children of drivers to develop relevant digital knowledge and skills. By combining educational expertise, technology-enabled learning, and community reach, the initiative reflects a shared commitment to making technology education more accessible and helping young people build the skills they need to navigate the digital future.
Commenting on the initiative, Alaa El Din Shalaby, Country Manager at inDrive Egypt, said: “Our drivers are at the heart of inDrive, and investing in their children’s future is an important part of recognizing the role they play in our community. Through our ongoing commitment to their families, we are working with Misr El Kheir Foundation and Tech Valley to strengthen access to AI and technology education for drivers’ children, equipping them with the skills to think creatively, solve problems, and create with technology rather than simply use it. This initiative is part of our continued investment in the people who drive inDrive forward, supporting the next generation as they learn, grow, and prepare for the opportunities of the future.”
Dr. Nagwa El-Sayed, Head of the Scientific Research Sector at Misr El Kheir Foundation, stated that the partnership with inDrive reflects the importance of collaboration between civil society and the private sector in expanding access to quality technology education.
She emphasized that the initiative aims to equip children with practical digital and AI skills, fostering innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving, while preparing future generations to keep pace with technological advancements and contribute to sustainable development.
Umar Farooq, Founder and CEO of Tech Valley, said: “At Tech Valley, our mission is to make AI and digital-safety education widely available to every child. inDrive’s mission is to challenge injustice and widen access to opportunity for the communities it serves. Rihla Raqmiya is where those two goals meet. Having worked with more than 2,000 institutions and empowered hundreds of thousands of children learners across Pakistan, we are proud to bring Google’s curriculum to 600 children across Egypt, taught live in Arabic.”
The new initiative builds on the progress achieved through inDrive’s collaboration with MEK in 2026. In April, the two organizations announced the successful completion of a four-month digital literacy program that reached 327 students aged 9–16 across Cairo, Fayoum, and Sohag. The program introduced participants to programming languages, including Scratch and Python, and practical AI applications. It also included training for 30 local facilitators to support the continued development of digital skills within their communities.
As part of this broader commitment, inDrive MAX enabled passengers to donate coins earned through their activity on the platform to help fund additional learning spots for children. These contributions supported the wider educational initiative led by Misr El Kheir Foundation and Tech Valley, which aims to reach 1,000 children of inDrive drivers across Egypt through AI and technology education.
Building on these milestones, the new program aims to extend the reach of technology education and create additional learning opportunities for drivers’ children. By combining in-person instruction with online learning, inDrive and MEK seek to make digital skills more accessible and encourage young learners to explore the possibilities of AI, programming, and innovation.
Through these efforts, inDrive continues to invest in its driver community and support initiatives that help young people develop the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to navigate the digital future.
