During the Vodafone Egypt Media Forum: Ayman El-Saadany: We have 11 million active wallets and are planning a qualitative leap in promoting digital payments and financial inclusion.

    Ayman El-Saadany, Head of Government Relations and Public Policy at Vodafone Egypt, confirmed in response to a question from" Alam  Rakamy " about the company's vision for supporting digital payments through its e-wallets, that they are fully aware of the challenges in implementing financial inclusion and promoting digital payments. He stated that they currently have approximately 11 million active e-wallets relied upon by their customers to complete all their financial transactions, whether for transferring money between individuals, between individuals and companies, or even for paying for various government services.

    This came during the Vodafone Egypt - Aswan 2026 Annual Media Forum, currently being held for three days. The forum was attended by Mai Yassin, Head of External Communications and Sustainability at Vodafone Egypt, and approximately 100 journalists specializing in communications, information technology, and economics. She added that they have recently achieved a significant leap forward in providing money transfer services from abroad to Egypt.

    This allows Egyptians abroad to send their savings to their families in Egypt anytime, anywhere, even in villages and hamlets, with the funds arriving instantly without the recipient needing to go to a bank or post office.

    Regarding the company's strategy for relying on clean "green" energy, the Head of Government Relations and Public Policy at Vodafone Egypt indicated that they will be fully reliant on green energy starting in 2025, and will reach zero carbon emissions by 2035.

    Regarding the activities of the Vodafone Community Foundation, Ayman Al-Saadani said that there are 11 million beneficiaries of all the services of the Vodafone Community Foundation, explaining that the Foundation gives priority to focusing on the education and health sectors to provide innovative solutions that work to develop and improve the services of these sectors during the next three years.
