OpenAI is working on OpenAI, the developer of the ChatGPT chatbot, is assembling a team specializing in developing algorithms for controlling robots, a move that coincides with the hiring of robotics researchers.

The company stated that its Atlas robot has a human-sized hand equipped with touch sensors and can lift up to 50 kilograms. Atlas can operate without direct human control and is designed to function in industrial environments with temperatures ranging from 20 to 40 degrees Celsius. The company indicated that it is accelerating development in this area through partnerships with global leaders in artificial intelligence, such as NVIDIA and Google, with the aim of improving safety, efficiency, and ensuring the real-world deployment of robots.
