In Collaboration with Orman Association, and For the Twelfth Consecutive Year… Samsung Hosts its Annual Celebration Honoring Orphaned Children with Employee Participation

  • Samsung Electronics Egypt held its annual celebration honoring orphaned children for the twelfth consecutive year, in collaboration with Orman Association, as part of its ongoing initiatives to support the most underserved segments of Egyptian society.

Featuring a range of recreational and interactive activities, the event was enjoyed by 185 children, with the active participation of Samsung Electronics Egypt employees. This initiative comes within the framework of Samsung’s comprehensive strategy to support vulnerable communities across multiple pillars, while also reinforcing this strategy internally by engaging employees and embedding a culture of volunteerism within the organization.

These annual activities, which have been ongoing since 2013 in partnership with various civil society organizations, reflect Samsung’s firm belief in the importance of integrated efforts and strong, diversified partnerships. Such collaboration plays a pivotal role in advancing the company’s vision to create a sustainable and positive societal impact.

Ahmed Gaafar, Chief Executive Marketing and E-Commerce Officer at Samsung Electronics Egypt, stated, “Our approach to corporate social responsibility is built on Samsung’s global belief that technology can be a powerful force for improving people’s lives. This belief is clearly reflected in all our steps to promote initiatives aligned with Egypt Vision 2030. We are also keen to continuously foster a strong culture of volunteerism among our employees, in line with our principles of expanding and sustaining the impact of social initiatives year after year.”

For his part, Major General Mamdouh Shaaban, General Director of Orman Association, said, “Cooperating with a leading entity such as Samsung contributes significantly to expanding our reach and accelerating the achievement of our goals in supporting the most underserved groups in society. The shared success of these initiatives over the past years has played a major role in bringing joy to the children and strengthening their sense of inclusion within the community.”

Samsung Electronics Egypt launched several community initiatives throughout 2025, including the seventh edition of the Samsung Innovation Program, which has successfully trained and empowered more than 2,000 students from various governorates since its inception. The program has enhanced participants’ competitive capabilities in AI, IoT, and data analytics, contributing to improved quality of life and supporting the development of a more inclusive, sustainable, and prosperous Egyptian society.
