The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has issued a new set of commemorative stamps featuring QR codes through the Egyptian Postal Service to commemorate the historic opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum. The museum is considered one of the most important and largest cultural and civilizational projects of the 21st century and represents a new icon added to the state's record of achievements in preserving and promoting its rich human heritage globally.

Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, affirmed that the Grand Egyptian Museum represents a global cultural landmark embodying Egypt's rich history and enduring civilization. He noted the Ministry's commitment to documenting the historic opening by issuing a series of commemorative stamps that immortalize this pivotal moment in the history of modern Egypt.

Dr. Talaat explained that postage stamps serve as a mirror reflecting the nation's journey and achievements. He emphasized that this issue is not merely a work of art, but also a cultural message showcasing the grandeur of ancient Egyptian civilization to the world and underscoring Egypt's leading role in preserving its historical heritage and utilizing modern technology to present and document it.

For her part, Dalia El-Baz, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the National Postal Authority, expressed the Egyptian Post's pride in participating in documenting this important historical event through the issuance of a distinguished set of commemorative stamps. These stamps were carefully designed and printed to embody the architectural splendor of the Grand Egyptian Museum and its unique archaeological treasures. She noted that the set includes a commemorative stamp sheet with five stamps featuring images of historical statues from within the museum, as well as another set of three stamps showcasing the museum's architectural facade and bearing the Grand Egyptian Museum logo. She emphasized the Egyptian Post's ongoing commitment to supporting Egyptian culture, arts, and history, and to issuing commemorative stamps that mark and document major national events, stamps that carry within them pages of the nation's history and rich civilization.
